Week 15 & 16 (LAST BLOG)

Hi there. You have officially made it to my last blog. Wow. What an eventful few months.

In these two weeks, we will be going to the DOLOMITES, doing finals, and packing to go home.

When I came back from Milan, my roommates and I went to dinner with one of our friends who came to visit from studying abroad in Barcelona. We ate at this restaurant called Trattoria Za Za, and it was really good!

I then packed my bag, and my two roommates and I made our way to the Dolomites!

This was the beautiful hostel we stayed at. They also gave us

free breakfast!

On the day we arrived, we were tired from traveling on a bus, so we went on a nice walk to this lake and ate sandwiches we had pre-packed. It was so beautiful.

The next day, we went on an 8-hour hike. It was tiring, and there was rain, snow, and rocks, but it was so worth it.

The hike was really tiring, but the views made it all feel so surreal.

After the hike we were starving so we stopped by this Indian owned place and got pizza, nuggets, onion rings, and mozzerella sticks.

Those nuggets were the best chicken nuggets I have ever had. I have to say they're even better than Mcdonald's chicken nuggets and so we had to go back there again before we left to go back to Florence.

Before we left, we explored the town a bit and it was so beautiful and breath taking. I can't even explain how stunned I was.

Back in Florence, we were doing finals, packing, and buying gifts for those back at home. Lets just say I went a bit overboard and had to check in three boxes of things and leave a few things behind :(

This was one of my meals on my flight home and while I was eating this I was just really happy to have experienced the things I did. I felt that this experience abroad has helped me grow as a person and understand myself better. If there is anyone out there who is deciding to go abroad, I say to just do it like Nike said. Money always comes back, but time and experiences won't.

Also, if money is an issue for you like it was for me, apply for scholarships. Apply for any and every scholarship you can no matter if you think you'll get it or not.

Thank you to the donors for the scholarships I have received. On this journey I have met some of my closest friends, learned about new cultures, and learned more about myself.
